fishing on the sea

On a morning diffused by harmattan’s dust-laden winds, two canoes with rigged sails head to sea off the Liberian coast for a day of fishing. The dry winds originate in the Sahara Desert, carrying dust cross West Africa into the Gulf of Guinea.

CanoeGrand_DKortephotoA Fante’ canoe passes Mamba Point on the return to West Point. They will unload their catch of fish from the previous night. The fishermen will sleep for the day and return to sea by nightfall.
