Inspecting a net on a beached fishing canoe, Testimony plays for a picture. Testimony is 26 years old and in 10th grade of school. He is proud that he can read and shows by scratching words in the sand. Liberia’s civil wars (1989-2003) devastated the education system, which has been slow to recover. Today, adults are trying to complete an education missed as children.
